Jogida ni gufa in Taranga is known as Jogida ni goofa (caves of jogi) which was built by Buddhist monks. Taranga is located in Maheshana (Gujarat). Taranga has one of the famous fort known as Taranga Fort.
Why we have mentioned the fort because to know jogida ni gufa you’ll have to know the fort first. in that taranga fort, there is a main gate located in the north side of fort which is known as jogida ni goofa. if you stand in front of the goofa, you’ll find that winds coming from the cave is extremely cool and has low temperature as well compared to the surface surrounded by the area.

You can reach jogida ni gufa by air if you can reach it to ahmedabad. then after 130 Kms from Ahmedabad, 50 Kms from Ambaji shrine you can hire cab or bus whatever you like till 56 Kms from Mehsana. Your bus will drop you off at Timba near Danta. You can get a shared (Rs. 5/-) or private (Rs. 50/-) jeep for the 8 km to Taranga. If you’ve hired cab than it will definitely bring you to the final destination.
please note that the nearest railway station is Visnagar 38KM from taranga, Mehsana 52KM from taranga, Unjha (54 kms) & Vijapur (60 kms) respectively. A slow local train also travels from Mehsana to Taranga (2 hrs.) which is not advisable by the way. The temple is 5 km from the railway station.
